Academic Programs

Flinders University Art Museum is working in partnership with staff across the University to bring the collections to the core of teaching practice. Employing object-based learning (OBL) as a model, our work is contributing to emerging pedagogy in this area internationally.

Comprising over 8,000 objects, the FUAM collections constitute a unique and valuable educational resource. They offer myriad starting points to deepen engagement with discipline-specific knowledge as well as opportunities to enhance observational, cross cultural as well as other skills.

The power of things: Enhancing employability in higher education through object-based learning project.
